Where did you purchase the sealer?

    • Rob Anderson says:

Hi there. I purchased the sealer on Amazon. You can find the same sealer on this page by clicking the “Learn More” button on the upper right hand side of it. Take Care -Rob

You mentioned that you’re using 75 gauge shrink wrap. (I noticed the ladies from howazon use 75 gauge film as well.) The amazon package and prep requirements page states that “the thickness of poly bags must be at least 1.5 mil” (which you most likely know because the poly bags you recommended are 2mil) When converting gauge to mil you multiply the gauge by 0.01. This results in your poly film only being .75 mil thick. To reach 1.5 mil, your shrink wrap would need to be 150 gauge. The higher the gauge number, the thicker the film is.
Although the page states those requirements on poly bags, it doesn’t say anything specific about shrink wrapped items (that I know of.) I have yet to find any requirements for shrink wrap, but id assume the same rules would apply. Ultimately what I’m asking is, have you had any problems with amazon from using 75 gauge thickness in the past? It’s a heck of a lot cheaper than the higher gauges. I’d use it any day over the thicker gauge if it’s acceptable. (It’d definitely be a more cost effective option)

      Hi there!

Sorry that I didn’t see this message before right now! I have never had an issue with the shrink wrap…from either Amazon or customers! Thanks for the question and again, I apologize for not seeing this sooner!

      Take Care,
      Rob Anderson
